Been racking my brain a bit as last year I installed a set of wind deflectors on my 06 RKC Forks (part#: 58121-85B). As usual the instructions aren't clear - so I winged it. They don't appear to shield much wind. Being it was a three dimensional drawing - they appeared that they could go on either way. I have the "top wing" facing back which doesn't seem right as why the wind continues more directed on me.
Anyone with a pic of a RKC that has these chrome deflectorsinstalled so as I can see the correct position. Appreciate any help.
Yeah - problem is of course the instructions show a picture which can be construed either way. They are nice though but want them to be more effective as I added recently the lower covers to the engine guards till ole man winter subsides.
Click on the little camera under my screen name on the left and the last picture in my gallery shows a pretty good shot of how they are supposed to be installed. Did your bike come with the fork air baffle as well? If not, get one and it will also help. If you still have problems I have a PDF file I just downloaded of the instructions and can email them to you.
You are correct TOP bends back towards the riders and the SIDES bend forward towrads the fronts wheel. They are good for keeping wind off your legs but I found they threw wind up my chest and head
