tuner reliability
Hey everyone. Which ismost likely to$h!t itself andleave me stranded somewhere? The SERT or PCIII? I understand it's somewhat apples and oranges but I'm mostly concerned with reliability over everything else. '06 EG Classic BTW. Thanks.
The SERT does not stay attached to the bike like a PCIII does. It is only used as the interface betweenyourlaptop or desktop computer and the ECM (computer) on the bike to program it, and it is removed once the ECM is programmed so there is nothing to go bad while you are riding.
I'm new to the mods. I've read many of the threads on preferences & successes to help with my plans, but wondering:
Q's:
Afuel tuner like the SE EFI RACE FUELER KIT 32132-04 ($175) will onlyto help with adjusting fuel (if efi is running lean etc), but a 32107-01F SERT ($400) or PCM3 ($250-350) will adjust fuel flow setting and further map settings??
Without an exhaust sniffer, does the32107-01F SERTget you pretty close, or do you still need a dealer to dial it in with their dyno?
WillaPCM3 get you as close as the SERT w/o dyno?
Appreciate your feedback. Thanks
ps. IREALLY enjoy this forum, GREAT JOB!
