Anyone have this problem. For some reason my battery terminals keep working them self loose. I've tried red lock tight and that doesn't work. I just bought a new battery becuse the stock HD battery always came loose and finaly trashed the post. I now have a Interstate battery and it's coming loose to. Has anyone ever experienced this ??? It's getting old pulling the seat off everytime just to tighten the dam 10mm bolts.
I'd check the routing of the positive and negative battery cables and ensure there is proper slack in them so they are not pulling on the terminals. I'd also check the battery tray to make sure it is not loose or misaligned and causing any stress on the terminals.
Try stainless internal or external lock washers before and after the cable. Get rid of the battery tender if you have one and just use the cables. If that works then re hook up the tender in the fall....I had same problem and this worked...I did not use any locktite.

Yeap I bet your right it's that dam battery tender cable. I will remove that and see if that does it.
Thanks tgaetto
Thread size of the screws larger in the Interstate battery? Did ya think of that? One might be SAE and the other Metric. Never had the problem with my HD batteries.....and usually replace the screws, using the new ones that com with the battery.
If you use an internal or external washer, batt cable ITW or EXTW, pigtail, ITW or EXTW it will work fine... If you dont use the washers the two cable will never hold tight. Its weird but this seems to be the fix....GOOD LUCK~
