Anyone know if a 2009+ Touring OEM Headpipe will fit/mount to a 2007 Touring.
I've heard that there is a 18mm and 12mm O2 sensor difference that can be modified, I'm just wondering if the pipes will bolt up. I'm doing a side dump exhaust and I need to use the newer style OEM headpipe style.
I dont plan to run the exhaust under the tranny. It will be cut off before then, I'm just looking to use the headpipe for where it goes 2 into 1, and then i'll be modding a side dump before the right saddlebag.

after researching it appears that the 02 sensors should swap right over from my 2007 into the 2009 headpipe.
The only issue I'm seeing is that it appears the bolt/bracket that mounts just below the clutch cover appears to be slightly different. Just curious if anyone has had this issue. I'm assuming some minor welding can fix this issue. Because I'm doing a side dump, I will need this point on contact to the frame so the rest of the exhaust will be secure.

07 sensors will fit the 09 header.
Do not connect the header directly to the frame.
You'll introduce a huge amount of vibration into the frame and potentially break exhaust studs left and right.
If you were working with an A motor might be different, but a B motor needs to be able to move in the rubber mounts.
Use a stock 09+ trans mount bracket. Between the two heads and the trans mount you have all you need for the exhaust to be secure.
I meant to mount the lower part of the header to the transmission. I totally understand not to mount to frame.
However I am just a little hazy about the transmission mounts for the lower part of the header? Is the bracket different or interchangeable from my year 2007 to the 2009+ ones? If I get a 2009+ header, is that something that is apart of the header or is it a bracket that usually stays with the engine/bike?
He means other way around...the A motor is the rubbermount...the B motor is counterbalanced and solid mounted in the softail frame.
Gezuz what I'm I thinking... Yeah thanks Mike! lol

The 09+ bracket is not part of the exhaust header, and Yes they are a little different.
You'll need pn: 65678-09, but if you're doing something custom anyway you may be able to redrill a 07 bracket. Worth checking as both brackets are pretty close to the same.
