Do you all use your cb much or not? Really torn between getting a Standard or an Ultra. Seems like the main thing is radio/cb/intercom/tour pac..anything I am missing? Radio is easy..hog tunes, intercom not that big a deal, and tour pac might be a factor. Lemme hear what you all think please
We do a LOT of tour ridin' - so fer us, the CB can be an invaluable tool, whether ta find out about road conditions/speed traps from truckers ta findin' the next available gas stop or good restaurant. Fer us, ah wouldn't be without it.
Thanks guys it really helps hearing from people that know! Especially trust TexasRedneck, your word goes along way with me. Guess I'll be saving my pennies for the Ultra then!

<blush> Wahl, thanks for the vote of confidence! One word of warnin', though....save LOTS of pennies - they've got more goodies fer them scooters than Carter's got li'l liver pills!!!
Yup..got a secret stash (bank account)ol' lady doesn't know about. She'll be gettin' a very big surprise come about Feb when I should be able to get a good deal on an '07 I am thinking [sm=devilangel.gif]
hehehe...sounds lahk me. When ah bought the bike, ah tossed 3k into an open "A/R" account at the dealership, then gradually figgered out what ah wanted. Went in one day with a purty good-sized list, an' of course she went into the apparel side an' went a li'l nuts. Ah didn't say a word, we got up ta the counter an' she liked ta have **** when the total came up ta $3600. Wrote a check fer the 6 hunnert an' some-odd bucks, told 'em ta take the rest off the A/R account. She wuz a tad miffed at first, until ah pointed out ta her that 'bout 1/3 of it wuz stuff she wanted, and that ah'd intentionally made sure she wuz along ta share in the "binge".
Then again, she ain't been with me on the other visits.....[sm=escape.gif]
dont forget the cruise control, and actually the cb is handy when ridding in a group, the tourpak is a great place to stow gloves , helmet, etc. Good luck whichever one you choose, you (and your Misses) will LOVE IT!!!!
Get the Ultra .. if you ride two up and long distances with other riding friends, the CB/Intercom can be important and fun. At least the ones with Ultras can be on the same page and know what going on in the minds of those up front leading the group. Comes in handy for when the next "rest stop" (aka pee break) is coming or to notify the leaders that one of the group had to pull over for what ever reason.
I had CB/Intercom on a previous bike and do miss it .. wish HD would make it a "factory installed option" on Road Glides too.
