broke eye holding brass windshield socket
so.....i was changing out my windshield and the eye/socket on the inside of the inner fairing that holds the brass fitting for the windshield screw in place broke. anyone have a suggestion on how to fix/attach the fitting back to the fairing? its a semi-circle now, having cracked in half so it can be put back in place but i was open to some suggestion. don't really want to try a bunch of glues that won't hold it. would jb weld hold it given time to cure?

i thought it might work but I've never used it or really heard of any one using it. my problem is that it didn't strip but broke into a half moon so i cant replace the insert but need to weld it. will try the jb.

Yeah, didn't work. i got the plastic weld. maybe i should have gotten some other one. just pulled right out as i tightened the screw.
