I can tell you from my own experience installing this pipe on my bike that you do not have them properly seated into the exhaust ports. Had exactly the same issue. I wasted several hours fiddling with them to no avail. It was only after I removed them and started over that I got them on. As was said, they just suddenly pop into place when you move them into place. If I remember right, I started with them tipped up some when first moving them into place, then tilted them down once the pipes were close to the exhaust ports. They just popped into place. And remember to get the flange under the trans bracket, not over it.
Have you watched their installation video on YouTube? Maybe try doing it over again exactly as they do in the video. Not trying to be a smartass, but the problem is most likely something you did wrong during installation, as opposed to something wrong with the pipe.
I did swap the snap rings, I did watch the video, and I'm using the supplied gaskets. Also removed the old gaskets, and cleaned ports. I agree that not much chance of there being a problem with pipe. I'm going to pull it off and start over. Thanks for your input.
Ill bet the head pipe isn't seated properly. Make sure the hanger is on the proper side of the trany bracket then loosely install all nuts and torque them down evenly.
That sucks, Stuff always happens on the weekend when you cant talk to anyone,
What I would do is pull them back off and take off the flanges that you put the studs thru so i could see how far they are settling into the gaskets.
It looks to me like the rear one is not goinbg in. its causing the pipe to be pulled back towards the cover.
Is that a black ceramic coated fuel motto head pipe on your bike?? How's the finish holding up..
From the photo it appears the header may be touching your jack. Don't know for sure. They were a easy install on mine. I didn't use a jack because it was in the way of the header fitting properly.
Just a thought.

No those are the Rush premium touring pipes. They look like True duels but have a crossover chamber in between them. Hold up great. I'm running the Big Louies behind them.
