Installed the fuel moto 2-1-2 header on my 14 sg about 1k miles ago and had similar problems. Mine wasn't touching the cam cover, but extremely close, maybe 1mm of clearance. Have loosened the Trans bolt a few times and pried the pipe out a touch using something non metallic so I didn't damage the pipe. As odd as it sounds, after I ride for a while and the pipe is hot, it has maybe 1/4" clearance from the cover, but a few hours later it is damn near right against the cam cover.

I don't think they should be that close? Just my opinion.

I don't think so either, but I have loosened mine a few times and tried to tweak it further away from the cam cover and can never seem to get it more than about 1/8" of clearance.

Just not my day. First my new in the box Premium Ride H-D Shocks are 2 different lengths (12"&13") Went on to installing Fuel Moto head pipe and it is hard against the cam cover and I see no way to adjust it so it doesn't touch. There should be a little space correct? Yes I will take a little cheese with my wine.
Appears the pipe simply needs to be adjusted at the trans mount, as the pipe naturally wants to curl back towards the motor during installation. Loosen the trans bolt slightly so it has just enough tension that the pipe can move, you will then be able to adjust the pipe away from the motor. It is helpful to slightly pry the pipe away from the motor and while holding the pipe you will tighten the trans mount bolt. If you need any assistance at all you are welcome to contact us at 920-423-3309 and we will walk you thru it.
Will try to install it again tomorrow morning, if I don't have any luck will give you a call Fuel Moto. I have messed with it so much I've about worn the ceramic coating off, and I wanted to be so particular as not to mar it up.

This is exactly the same process I have done to try to get the pipe away from the cam cover. Pipe is still extremely close to the cover but not touching
