been running vied for over a year now with no issuse . the bike runs good but been looking at ordering micro from FM . so would you change something thats not broken or will the micro make my bike run even better
I went ahead and went all in with a pv2 when I did my stage 1. Thought long and hard about the ied product. I'm glad I got the power vision now. The map that FM sent to me with the unit was good, but being able to auto tune the bike has it running awesome!! I would upgrade...
Im guessing here, but you must be doubting yourself if the bike is really running as good as it could.
If there is a area of concern, performance, low end torque, mid range torque, gas mileage, horsepower or what ever you feel if anything is lacking then change, if not spend your money on something else.
I am a happy XIED user...I know what they do, and how the ECM works.
I have generally good results- the bang for buck quotient is very high.
It is very possible that you will get better results with another device- THAT is completely dependent on the settings used.
( i have seen plenty other bikes with "tuners" which run poorly- the entered settings are wrong)
For one though you can with most devices raise the rev limiter- if that has ever been a concern for you ( less likely with stock cams).
Only you can do the math which works for you.
generally a stage 1 will result in 7 to 10 gained horsepower, just by uncorking the input and output of the motor- more flow.
the difference between the 7 and 10 is the chosen pipes, intake and "tuner".

Get a wait till a event and get a 50 buck dyno run and look at the sheet if it looks good stay with what you have if it can be better then get it.. But buy a good tuner you are going to stay with, you dont want to get one and then regret it later..
My opinion, if it is running well, you like it and the gas mileage is good dont change..
