We just installed the LA Choppers Ape Hangers on my buddy's 2009 Road King yesterday. The bars are 14", 1.25" tubing. Had no issues what-so-ever getting the wires through. Much easier than mine & my dad's 2015 SGS with Vindikta 14" bars.
We did use the clutch/brake 12-14 extension kit from LA Choppers along with the wiring extension too.
I will say this, we do not care for the LA Choppers front brake extension kit for the non-ABS system. The stock front brake lines are a 1-piece unit and the LA Choppers is the split block where the lines are screwed in via flared brake line fitting. Not really terrible but we don't like the fact that the lines screw in and the flared fitting is what retains the rigidness for the lines to go down to the calipers. When the suspension moves the brake lines move a little too and would be putting the pressure on the flared fittings. Not saying it wouldn't work we just don't care for the design. We ended up tying the new brake line into the stock brake line this way it uses the stock split block and we feel it avoids the possibility of future leaks. Just a preference on that.
Good luck!!
Kind of off the subject, but how tall is his windshield? I'm getting ready to do 14" bars as well, and I want to get a taller windshield. The previous owner went down to a 14" windshield, and I'm thinking that I want to go to a 20". (Which I believe is stock hight) I like the look/hight of his with the 14" bars.
The burley kit is showing at 419.00 and includes the electrical extensions too and is stainless steel braided where the LA choppers is just black. Hang up is that the Burly only goes as low as 14" bars and I am putting on 12's.

You can find the LA Choppers in the size you need in stainless. Your extra cost compared to what some of us pay is for the throttle cables. They drive up the price of your install quite a bit. Case in point, I did my install with KST bars, clutch and brake lines and poly bushings for $418. I made my own wire extensions. Didn't see any need in buying wire when I already had some.
Who's giving u these prices.. I was all in at 520ish..bars cables extensions bushings and shipped.. Mine were stainless.. I've given u all the answers u seek man.. Call Eastern and talk to them before u spend alot of money....i led u to the water.. It's up to u to drink
+1 , call eastern they will hook you up with everything you need and also offer a forum discount.
I did 16" La Choppers tree huggers , HD diamond back cables and guerrilla cable wiring extensions for 525.00
I just ordered the 13" Prime apes chrome kit for my 2004 FLHTCSE original bars broke. I got everything from Hill Country $608 including 1 piece top hold down clamp, all S/S cables and hyd clutch, brake lines, wire extensions.
I have both service manuals to my bike so wish me luck. Any good advise from anyone?

I'm not sure of the windshield height & to be honest, I'm not sure my buddy knows the height either as he purchased the bike used. I will ask him to be sure though.

Cool, thank you. I'm just trying to get a good idea of what its going to look like before I spend the money. I'm pretty sure it will look a lot like his, as far as the bars and windshield anyway.

I spoke with my buddy and he doesn't know the height. He did advise he thought it came with the bike when new but he wasn't positive about that.
Anyhow, the bike is still at my house & I'd be happy to measure the windshield for you. Correct me if I'm wrong, I believe HD measures windshields from the top of the headlight cut-out to the top of the windshield. I will get a measurement for you this evening.
