Sometimes my SGS when I turn it off the radio continues to play it only happened two or three times in the last 15000 miles or so. Anyone ever have this happen to them and if so did the dealer address it?
Yeah, the radio has character. Sometimes mine doesn't come on, sometimes it doesn't go off. Sometimes the hand control don't work.
Another cycle of the ignition always clears it up for me though. Honestly it sounds like yours is working better than most.
The way I see it, what's a dealer going to do? Flash firmware? I can already do that. If this was a rare thing I'd look in to having it replaced but the problems are common so I already know new hardware isn't going to help.
The fact is it's Harmon/Kardon equipment, so HD is equally powerless to do anything about the problems with the radio as they are your sony TV. HD is leaning on HK to fix their software but at the end of the day it'll be fixed when it's fixed, and it takes as long as it takes.
If nothing else is coming on too then yeah it could be a number of things. If everything but the radio is coming on it's probably just the radio expressing itself.
I wouldn't waste your time trying to have your dealer address any issues with your radio. There are a lot of software gremlins that pop up every now and then. If your radio is working but quirky every now and then, it's probably as good as it's going to be until a new software patch fixes the problem. Your dealer can't speed those things along.
