Kind of a wierd, annoying problem....my 2010 EG Classic's HK radio sometimes seem to turn itself on when starting the bike after its been parked for a couple of hours. I know for a fact that the radio was off when I shut it down, which I thought was the only time it should come on during starting. Not that its a big deal to just turn it off, its just kind of annoying!
there is an update for the radio it might help with your problem, i tried to do this and failed, seems i don't have the right software to open zip files. the dealer does have this also and can do it for you. here is the pdf you can read if you want to try it.
Mine does the samething. From what I can tell it happens when the battery is lower than it should be. Volts that is. My suggestion would be to have your battery tested and make sure that it's fully charged and still good.

Thats an interesting thought. I've noticed it happens on a Friday when I go to ride after the bike has been put away all week. Maybe I'll have the dealer load test the battery in the spring when they prep it for the season. Also have them do the software update. What the heck, its all under warranty
Just our of curiosity, do you have a CD in the CD player. Mine came on all the time when starting until I removed the CD I had left in there, that ended the problem.

Nope, no CD...I rarely even use the CD player, just the FM.
Mine does the same thing...but not all the time...Seems like when it is colder outside or the bike has been sitting and not been started for a few days or longer.
The dudes at Iron Cross Audio told me the the little battery inside the radio for the memory chip/circuit loses charge and the memory resets the power-on/power off setting? I am picturing it to be like a little watch?keyfob?computer motherboard type battery?
I never considered it to be a problem, just a slight annoyance...not that big of a deal to push a button and turn the radio off if I dont happen to want to listen to it...now if if the bike would not crank over or start up then I would have the main battery checked out further...
Does yours do it every time you shut off your bike and re-start it? Do you hook up a battery tender when you have it sitting/parked for an extended amount of time?
This never happened on any other HD radio on my previuos bikes, though...
Maybe a defective batch of memory batteries?
