Default just picked up a ventilator intake, what else needed?

yesterday the dealer was having a taxes off sale so i went down and picked one up since its the intake ive been eyeing up for awhile now for my sg

before i install it, what else do i need to do for tuning?
he was trying to convince me to get the SE race tuner, not the street tuner since thats all just viewable and you can't change anything.

he also said he can get it on the dyno, X amount of $$$ as well

all i will have will be slip ons and the intake.
is there a big need for the bigger tuner and dyno?
i do not plan on doing cams or anytthing for a long time.

Thanks guys

I just got one from kutter hd online for 207 shipped, the chrome one with the screaming eagle on it anyway. Just call fuel moto and get a tuner from the them already mapped for what you have done. Then if you ever do anything else they will send you a new map. Easy and don't think for what you're doing I would mess with the dealer dynoing it.

Yes pretty much so. Some may disagree but it is your money. Call them and ask for Jamie or Keith and ask them what tuner they recommend for your set up, I have the power vision and it's great but not cheap. They will map it and send it to you ready to be installed on your bike.

for a long time? sounds like you do plan on doing it at some point in time. if that is the case, buy the tuner now that will allow you to make any changes to your bike at any time. it may cost you a little bit more now, but you won't be replacing the whole thing at some point in the future.
