That's awesome. Thanks for deciding for the rest of us what the "best" is. You could really save us all a lot of time and grief by telling us what is the best -
oil
tires
seat
highway
beer
etc.
Mods - once he responds, please make this a sticky for future reference.
is reading comprehension an issue sir? here is the very first sentence of my post AGAIN.
"I am going to give everyone a list of MY favorite things about the different brands."

key word MY favorite things.
good lord
No. But writing is clearly not your strong point sir. Your wording on Goldwings implicitly contradicts/supersedes your proviso.
I could spend some time illustrating proper writing technique, but as mentioned, this thread has already wound down to the usual squabbling over points having nothing to do with the original topic.

Back when you bought your bike new and you and the other 5000 guys posted that, "It is the best bike I have ever ridden, etc, etc", should we have called you on it and asked for it to be a Sticky?
I mean how dare you speak for yourself without first consulting everyone on the forum?
Dude said "my". Try not to take it personal... I understood his point, and he's entitled to it Yes?
No. But writing is clearly not your strong point sir. Your wording on Goldwings implicitly contradicts/supersedes your proviso.
please point out where this occurs at? I mean yes writing is not the strong subject of MOST engineers, but I am having trouble locating this grammatical faux paus.
REALLY? grown men and women have to justify what they spend their money on? seriously? that's crazy no matter what you ride. We have several riders at my office building and no one ever asks anyone to justify what they have bought. Lunch time comes and usually a group or two take off riding. the only bike I am concerned about is the one I am on. good lord.
No, No one ever asks, the Japanese HD copy rider starts the conversation
in most cases.(As in the OP getting asked at the gas pump the other guy
had to comment on the HD, it is usually always the case ) HD riders I
know usually don't say anything derogatory to a rider of "copy" bike. I
have had one guy walk across the parking lot of a bank to gawk at my
Sportster and tell me it is a nice bike. HD draws them like a magnet, the
guy walked 30 yards to start a conversation with me.
He looked like a kid in a candy store, almost drooling
over it.

Well that's kind on interesting. I have had many different brands and makes of motorcycles and EVERYONE of them have drawn attention no matter what the make. I mean if having people gawk at your bike floats your boat, who am I to throw egg shells in your omelet?
Even my old Goldwing drew a LOT of attention. I have never been into people gawking at my bike. I usually do not let it sit long enough for that to happen anyway.

You are missing the point, I am not into people gawking, I don't appreciate a guy who bought a jap bike walking at a fast pace across a parking lot to drool all over my Sportster, If he wanted a Harley, he should have bought a Harley, then he can sit and drool all day long over his bike that is my point. Don't cheap out on your own bike then bother guys like me in a bank parking lot. P.S.why are you on the Harley Davidson forum trying to argue the merits of foreign imitation H-D Motorcycles?

You are missing the point, I give up. P.S. why are you on the Harley Davidson forum trying to argue the merits of foreign imitation H-D Motorcycles?
I am really not trying to argue anything, I was just expressing an opinion. But I will agree with you on one thing. this thread has long outlived its usefulness and I too am done.
When sport bike riding mouth breathers comment on how can I ride such a slow, loud over-priced under-powered slobbering pig...
I ask if they want to race for pinks. I get to pick the course. San Antonio to Seattle and back. I then offer to give them a head start.
None have taken me up on it yet.
Freakin' awesome!!! I love that!!!
BTW... I've ridden a friend's Buell XB12 Lightning. Won't do it again! I've been riding for over 30 years and still don't have the skill set to not scare the crap out of myself on that thing!!!

Had a Buell for many years, alongside my Glide. Buttercup has about the same HP as my Glide and is just fine!
