Lowering Option
Looking to lower my 2012 Ultra Classic and make it more of Street Glide. What option would have the least affect on handling. I was thinking of just swapping out for Street Glide rear shocks.

you should be able to get a set of used SG shocks for about $150.
ride will be harsher...30% LESS suspension travel.
Lowering blacks retain the 2.75" travel but put the shocks at a slight angle...some of these seem to shift or bind....about $25 on ebay
I have tried both and the SG shocks were more consistent.
I am now running stock shocks again....comfort

I'm going with the 12" HD premium hand adjustable on my '15 Ultra. Had them on my SGS. Did 18,000 miles in 8 months on the SGS. I figure they will ride even better on the Ultra with the extra weight.
