baker compansator
Sorry to thread hijack, but I have my inner primary off right now to change shift lever and seal.
Here is my stock, 40000 mile (I've had bike since 12000 miles) so assuming original compensator. 2009 103 6speed police-glide.
How's this look? Seem quiet at start up, I guess.

That said, it looks ok but I have a failed one sitting on my bench that looks just like yours.
Again... weak springs really are the problem with that year/model.
You are correct. My original one the springs completely cut the spring basket off.
same here, have an 09 with only 10k miles on when i bought it 11/2014 with a bad comp making the real loud bang in primary when it starts along with a jerky feel when getting getting going from a stop adn found the same issue with spring in the comp.
The engagement area of the comp looks like new, just about no wear to be found anywhere but spring basket was toast on mine too.
Today i installed the new se comp along with the compensaver saver too,had to remove/grind quite a lot of material from inner primary cover to remove stock comp & rotor and had to remove even more AL from inner prim to get the new rotor on.
And it was real fun removing the ribs on the inside of the outer prim case to make room for the compensaver too.
But the prim chain was stretched just enough that i didnt have to remove the clutch basket assembly to remove old comp and install new so that was nice.
Only thing i have left to do is glue the small scoop in the outer prim case for the se comp, then the outer prim case will be ready to re-install but wont add oil for 24 hrs to ensure the adhesive is completely cured.
I will refill prim case with Spectro's prim case oil thats specifically formulated for twin cam HD's ,i also run Spectro's trans oil specifically formulated to help quiet 5th gear on twin cam hd's with 6spd box which seems to have done what it was designed/formaulted to do.
Update, forgot to mention the pad on the original self adj prim chain adj (older 6A version) showed no wear/no gove, nothing at all with 10k miles on it,i could no believe it but i'll take it!/LOL!!
So even though i have the upgraded 6B version of the auto adj prim chain tensioner on hand since the older 6A version that came in my 09 looks like new at 10k miles with no wear at all o the pad i decided to not use the new 6B version i have & to re-install the older 6A version since it looked perfect .

What's the evolution sprocket?
Here are a few pics of the comp off my 13 which was the old S/E comp with 30K miles on it.

I've seen much worse wear on many others with far less mileage than mine but that still seems to be a lot wear to me.
Here is a pic with the Compensaver installed.

===============================
Its just what it sounds like,it's a 1 pc sprocket with no moving or mult parts like the compensator has that replaces the compensator.
But with that setup you get could get motor vibration/engine type transfer feel though drivetrain & bike in general.
But i was also interested it too and if i have any problems with my new SE comp & compensaver setup i may give the evolution sprocket or Baker's new comp a try.
