Quick lifter question
Put Gaterman 1023 lifters in bike about 5k miles ago. Swapped out cams yesterday and adjusted pushrods starting with rear cylinder. Both rear lifters took about 25 min to bleed down. Rolled motor over to tdc on front and adjusted front pushrods. Intake lifter bled down in about 3 min. By the time I locked up the lock nut on pushrod I could spin pushrod. The exhaust took 20-25 min like the rear lifters. Does that mean my front intake lifter is bad? The front cylinder has been a bit noisy.
These lifters have been in bike 5000 miles and I did not pull them out when doing cam swap.

[QUOTE="SavageChopper;13907038"]When the motor was shut off, that valve could have been open and bled down. Try re-adjusting once the motor cools down and see if it does the same thing.[/
I haven't started the bike yet. The front cylinder was noise prior to cam swap. After seeing how fast the lifter led down I stopped reassembly as I was thinking I'm going to have to swap lifters.. The gatermans have been noisy on startup every once in a while but better than the stock lifters.
