Don't run them going down road but flip them on in traffic
They really cool the engine down by about 30 degrees when running
Great purchase, highly recommended
They work way better if you leave them on all the time as recommended. Only running in slow and stopped traffic is why you only see a 30 degree drop in ET.
Agree with your comment. Hell you designed them you should know. however with the jagg 10 row oil cooler, the 1 1/2 quart larger oil pan and my tune, if i run then 100% of the time i have trouble staying above 220 on my temp gauge.
I like my big build to run around 230, so i use your fans as needed. If the engine gets hot i cut Them on, so far that has only been in heavy traffic.
You make a great product. My dyno guy was impressed at how well they performed when he was tuning the bike.
Is there any problem caused by uneven cooling, IOW, the left side of the jugs will be cooler than the right, where there ARE no fans? Been thinking of getting them, but curious about this.

Are you talking Engine Temp or Oil Temp? What's the significance of 230 degrees?

No problems that I'm aware of, natural airflow basically only hits the front so that about the same thing. Heat naturally migrates toward the lower temp area. Altough they are mounted on the left side they move air through the port in the head which directly above the top of the combustion chamber. They pull out a lot of heat.
