Hey guys, installed a new set of bars about a month ago everything went without a hitch. Noticed recently that the cel is coming on as I start the bike.
From a little research everything seems to point to the tgs. My only concern is when I installed the bars I bought a brand new SE one from Harley.
I also have zero drivability issues. I have ridden the bike at least 500miles since the install and it idles starts and accelerates with no issues at all.
I also can't seem to clear the codes, I've searched and read all the stickys about it and the codes never clear.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thx in advance.
I've read the codes and there are codes present under the first section of the diagnostic section on the odometer.
Those codes are historic and need to be cleared. I would suspect that the ignition was turned on sometime during your bar swap possibly when your TGS was unplugged. Regardless the historic codes have to be cleared before you can determine if they are current or not.
Thanks, for your help. Any insight as to why the codes themselves won't clear?
I've followed the fuel moto instructions and hold down the reset button until clr comes up and then shut down the ignition switch. I go back in and still the same amount of codes.
