Can someone with a Sundowner seat for 09-13 verify that it does have the slot for the HD backrest?

harley makes a sundowner for all model lines. some have and some dont. what kind of bike are you fitting it on

btw its my favorite seat. i have had them on softails and touring bikes. the only reason i dont have one now is because the 110th aniversary flhtk has a special insert. otherwise i would have the sundowner. and yes on touring bikes there is a slot for the riders back rest

yeah you should have the slot there for the rider back rest. just make sure its the correct seat for your bike. for example not all touring bikes are set up the same. the sundowner for a street glide doesnt have the slot and the sundowner for the road king is a 2 peice seat. just make sure its the seat for the ultra the harley part number for the sundowner deep bucket seat for the ultra is 52093-08a

Is the seating position the same? The stock position is perfect as far as reach. Would that change?

my sundowner puts me a little forward compared to my stock street glide seat. dunno how that compares on ultra, etc.

All of the sundowners for Touring bikes (including for the SG) have the slot.
Sometimes it's hidden under the grab strap, but it's there...

It's all the same seat mostly. Just covered different for style.

if i recall, my sundowner lowered me about an inch or an inch and a half and it did slide me a little forward, but im only 5'9" so it was actually more comfy for me
