You should seriously go to Northern Michigan in the summer... ain't nowhere prettier.

But the bike stored 6 months a year sucked.

Duck hunting? None better.
Fishing? second to none.

I friggin hate cold weather... So South Texas suits me fine... my bike was parked for about 2 weeks this year, due to 40° rain. COULD have ridden, chose not to.

Ride on down here next winter, I'll buy you a cold one!

That was my first thought. While I don't know exactly how that years tach gets it's signal, it may very well be from the coil like engines of old.
