Roadglide-NoNoise/windnoise/stereo
Saw a few products like NoNoise and Hearos come up but not much info regarding touring bikes windnoise while having a stereo. Any info on plugs or any type of ear product that will reduce windnoise but still be able to listen to stereo just hopefully not as cranked up as I have to have it??? NoNOise looks like they have ceramic filter and what not to help windnoise but many fail to give info on listening to stereo also. And not just the windnoise for the stereo, but also I have the windnoise running by my ear, already have tinnitus from aircraft maintenance and hate it, wind rushing by off the KW windshield surely does not help so I wouldn't mind a plug, but I want music too ANy advice or reviews???
Probably not what you're looking for, but unless you're willing to put a taller/broader, less aesthetically pleasing, windshield on your bike, it's something that you will have to contend with. Don't get to have our cake and eat it too, unfortunately.
BTW - I too ride a road glide, and prefer to give up a little function for form where the shield is concerned.
it is dead easy to wire a stereo 3.5mm jack to your speakers, use an inline volume control like from radio shack.
total cost about $18
I have my jack down by my left thigh
IEM's keep the music in and the road noise out- a net reduction in ear fatigue
if you want "plugs"- even the yellow foam ones will do alot, but I like these for $15:
and you can use your speakers- but then you are just blasting radio noise over road/wind noise....

I use the NoNoise, they work exactly as advertised. My only complaint is that they're made for small ears. You have to be careful not to slide them in too far or you'll be looking for the tweezers. It's so easy to do that I actually keep a pair of tweezers in the bike just in case, just grab the nib on the end and pull them back out.
