If I am not going to ride for a few days, it's plugged in. As far a "cordless" don't think so, but at my summer place I use a Battery tender solar unit.

Be Safe JIM

As long as your charger has a "Float" setting leaving them connected should not hurt the battery.

we can ride 12 months out of the year here, so i do....i havent had my tender plugged in since i moved to fla 13 yrs ago. i have replaced a 2 batteries, one in each of my current bikes, but i bought those bikes used and the one bike i have only had 6 months (the 04 cvo) so i dont know how old the battery was, and the 13 flhtk had all kinds of extra electrical stuff that im sure drained the original battery. i changed that one out a year ago when i got that bike.

it`s more a "winter tender" for me. when bike sits for a few months. if you`re battery goes dead after sitting a couple days or weeks, even, something is wrong. How often do you put your car on a tender? my truck sits pretty much all summer and starts right up in fall-winter.

Default Battery Tender

I plug mine in unless I am sure I will ride the next day. I have had batteries last for years that way. Plus on a cool morning you will have all of you cranking amps available which I have heard is easier on the starter.

If this is what you're doing then the tender isn't working correctly for you. The web site tells you to plug the tender into the battery and THEN plug it into the wall.
