Default autozone brake pads

has anyone besides me ever thought about autozone for brake pads? this evening on my way home I started hearing a scrubbing noise from the rear of the bike. get home pull the bag lookslike the pads are gone, it too late to go to a bike shop so what do I have to lose if I stop in the local autozone, at the most they will think I'm crazy. ask the parts guy he say's sure, they dont have any at this location but a couple of clicks on the keyboard and there is a set of semi metalic for $29 about 4 miles away at another location. he put them on hold and by the way here is10% off for your trouble.

They stock the ones for HD's there usually? I have one that was just put up a couple miles from home, I'm going to check into. I've always just picked up the HD filters because I have a dealership in town and it saves me from looking for another source, but if I can get them down the street, then I'm onto the K&N's.

I bought pads for my wifes grand prix from autozone. And that will be the last set of pads I buy from there. They have made noise from day one. Swtiched them out several times, on their dime, and still the same thing. I am not saying that will be the case with the bike pads, but there is no wayI am willing to throw money away on autozone break pads again, period. JMHO

Go for it there sportyrider1, just pull out your handy dandy flat file, and give thepadedges that meet the rotor a few swipes with the flat file. It only takes one of two passed so do not get carried away...You will get rid of the sqeal....Our nearest Auto Zone does not carry the chrome, only black filters...
