loving the new ride coming from a history of sport bikes and more recently a Fat Boy Lo. Just installed v&h twin slash slip ons and the sport clock werks windshield which is fantastic btw. My FatBoy sounded awesome with just the slip ons but I'm not as impressed with them on the road glide. I didn't realize there was a cat before the mufflers on the new bike. So I'm considering the v&h power duals...but then of course it turns into nearly $2k between fuelpak, intake, labor and what I already spent. I'm not that interested in more power as much as I just want it to sound "right" ...anyone done it here and think it was worth it? I do like the video on v&h site...that's the sound I'm after. Anyway that's a long intro and I didn't even start talking about my seat yet! Just wanted to introduce myself. Been lurking for some time now....
A little video my my dad's & my bike, one with the V&H Slash cuts and the other with the 4" Rineharts. Both have V&H dresser duals. They sound awesome. You get that classic harley sound where you hear each pop of the cylinders... To each his own ya know?
Sounds great. Borderline too loud for me but hard to judge by video; sweet nonetheless. How do you like the fp3? Did you install the bagger duals yourself?
I'm more about performance than sound. If all ya care about is sound go listen to real bikes and pick the sound ya like. No matter what ya pick, get a proper tune.

They are fairly loud when you get on it but both quiet down nicely on the highway with no issues hearing the radio. Almost can't even hear then over the wind noise. I did install the exhaust on both bikes. The FP3 seems to be fine. We're still using the standard map that I downloaded from V&H. Both run great with no issues, getting around 35mpg around town with some playing, 40-42mpg on the highway. I figure it's fairly close. I did try the autotune but it ended up lean on cold startups. I just reloaded the original downloaded map and let it be. I never tried to mess with any further than that. I plan to tinker with it some in the very near future, it's just been a time issue for me. Like I said before it's been running fine, pulls hard, consistent and smooth. I'm quite sure a genie with dyno and some time under his belt could really get it perfect but it does run fine for right now.
That being said, my cousin and I just finished up a 124 build on his 07 SG. It's a beast. Went to the dyno man this morning. If I like what he does I might just get him to sprinkle some dust on mine too.... we'll see... :-)
