Wife and I rode our '03 RK across CO in May 2010 on old US50 to drop south and pickup US160, snow was on at Monarch Pass, Wolf Creek Pass was supposedly clear but as we got there the weather opened up to drizzle then snow. We topped the pass one hour before they closed it for chains with road wet not sticking and snowing it's butt off. Had to wipe snow from windshield and face shield otherwise just had to deal with the wife trying to break off the right foot board.

....... there's been a boatload of moisture over Colorado recently, those Spring snows can hit quick
....... glad the PU driver was helpful, wouldn't want some Range Rover flying around a curve and into your backs w/o notice

Figured that, from the way you were pointing.

Kinda fun to ride in that stuff, isn't it? Lot more traction than people realize.

Well, kinda fun as long as cage drivers aren't pushing you, riding your tail. That's usually the worse part, in my experience.

Yikes! We might be moving to CO at some point, somewhere between Denver and CO Springs. What tire were you on, stock Dunlops?
