Next town or turn back?
Either way we made it safely and am able to create this post!
Thanks for all the great feedback I had fun with this post.
The ambient air temp showed 28 degrees and the road surface was not frozen, just slushy and wet. This is what kept the bikes clean. We had proper gear and were prepared for the worst, which we found. We are both experienced riders, know our abilities and have ridden together for a long time. While stopped to take this picture another traveler in a pickup truck stopped to see if we were ok and informed us the road would be clearing in about five miles, then he followed with his flashers on to ensure our safety from behind. We pressed on at about 10 MPH over the pass and the road cleared.
The photo was taken at about 3:00pm on Saturday May 16 2015.
We were on Brazos Summit via Highway 64 between Tres Piedras and Tierra Amarilla heading towards Chama, NM. Very close to the top. http://www.trails.com/tcatalog_trail...lid=XFA121-004
We just kept pushing on and made it safely.
A bad day on the motorcycle is still better than a good day at work.
