My Tallboys extension bracket hits first on the left side... That bothers me...I chopped it with a bandsaw immediately upon install, too.. First time I had too much momentum and was 2-up for it to do anything other than scrape, though it did make both of us pucker... 2nd time was during my Top Gun class and as it was a slow full lock turn, it grabbed the pavement and DOWN I went. I don't want stock placement boards... I need the extends... But I'm looking for alternatives for that bracket... I want my boards to hit first.
Right side, the exhaust hit first.. But that day I had stock rear air shocks and I had lessened the pressure to play around/test the ride 2-up... I've since upgraded to Legends Revo A's and haven't scraped since. I still want the board to hit first, though.. The issue has made me rather timid on turns, it's bothering me.
If your kickstand is stock and scraping you most likely need a new spring. The under side of my boards, and the ends of my highway pegs have scratches all over them.
First of all if you are not scraping at some point you must live in Florida. Regarding the jiffy stand spring you can get extra heavy duty ones off of eBay. That is all I use.
