Default just finished adjusting neck bearings

Easy. except dam radio bracket bolts were a PIA. took forever to get the 4 of them back in. I noticed on my 2013 ultra, there is no tab to bend to keep the stem nut from loosening. Manual dosnt show one or say to bend one so im guessing it can loosen on its own. i turned the adjuster nut about 1/8 of an inch. thats all it took to get the clunking to go away and a retourque of the stem nut. took 3 hrs only because of those dam radio bracket bolts. got frustrated so took a breather

Use a long ball end allen to get the radio bolts out.. The metal bracket on the outside of the radio bracket had oval slots in it.. The allen fits right in

yup. exactly what i did. getting them out wasnt to bad. getting them back in was another story. just couldnt get them lined up for nothing. even with ball end allens, it was still tough, well for me anyway. finally got lucky and got them started. the ones closest to outer fairing not bad. inner ones a pain even using the slot

Did mine on my 08 today as well. Had to turn the star adjuster quite a bit, I was surprised. Although it was never in need prior to now. Had 4-5 swings and now it's down to two and just slightly breaks as if it's going to do a third but doesn't. Feels much better in corners and hopefully the random clunk on bumps is gone. Radio is a pain, especially if you have a J&M amp and amp holder bracket like mine.

i like mine with one swing if that. i use the adjustment to set tight to act like a steering dampener. old motocross trick. on mx bikes you set the tree so that u have to actually push the bars left or right. no swinging. on old bikes with crap bearings and races you couldnt do this but now the metal and tolerances is much better. i took her out for a ride and what a difference tightening them up made with less than a swing makes in stability at speed.
