I got my 14 SGS a week or so ago and been doing mods (since its rained for a month!)
Have a question about the mirrors. I added the Khrome Werks bars and need a mirror solution. I was thinking of removing the fairing mirrors and try to find a replacement for that hole that would sit a little higher, but not as high as the mirror on the bars.
Has anyone tried this and if so, could you send pics ?
Thanks
Saw this on Legacy Bagger, but wanted wanted it to setup higher.
When I purchased my bike the previous owner mounted FLHX mirrors. When I removed them I found out that he redrilled the mounting holes a bit higher than the stock template. This could be a solution, the previous holes were covered by the mirror base but you will end up with 8 holes for your mirrors when it is all done.
I filled the holes and reinstalled the FLHT mirrors upside down, works just fine for me and my 12" bars.

Not a bad thought ! Thanks for the info. Looking at the scythe mirrors too
Was at the dealer the other day and saw this new mirror option. Fits new Rushmore models...wish they made this option to fit 2013 & older models as I really like these. Gets the mirrors up a bit but not as high as bar mounted. Will work for your 2014.
