Well, I got it home last night without any problems. Read all the replies late last night and parked it till I can tear it apart to see if I can see any damaged wires. If the wires are damaged, I dont want them getting any worse. If I have to pull the bars and pull out the wires and redo them, I will scream bloody murder!!! I will let all know what I find or not find....
This weekend we are going away (wife's BDay), so I will start to tear Sunday night when we get back or next week.

Well, she did it again. Halfway home from work, while riding on the highway, it kept sputtering. When I stopped it died. Restarted it and the rpms went to 3000. When I pulled in the clutch, it went down to around 1200. When I twisted the throttle, it wanted to die. So I pulled the codes and it says P0118. Other forum says ET sensor high. Checked the connections to the ecm and the sensor connector, both fine. I wiggled the wires while at idle and nothing changes. Anything else I can do or call the stealerahip?
Take a look around just to be sure you don't have an air leak. That could cause an extra lean condition to cause your idle to jump, then cause it to die when you give it gas from lack of fuel. Just a thought. I know it's fuel injected, but you never know.
Check the plug behind the throttle body , sometimes the plug will get moisture and cause corrosion on the pins inside the connector. Dry the plug out and use electrical grease on the connector pins.

I took it apart and the pins "looked" clean and dry. I pushed it in and out a couple times.
Since I wrote this, I took it on a 40 min ride. When the cylinder back cutout happened,the throttle did get weird for only a minute or two. Then fine. Could they then be the sensor? I might schedule the stealerahip to look over it. I did buy the cvo TBW connector. I don't want to do that unless I have to. I will really be pissed if that didn't fix the problem.

I've also gotten two other codes U1016 and U1040 but I don't know if they are all related. I have the ESP so I want (a different) dealer to take some time to figure it out, but they're booked for another 10 days.

I saw "somewhere" that you can check the sensor. Not sure how or what to read. (Any have a clue?) Worse case, I will buy one and put it in. $ 40.00 is cheap if it fixes it. Is your bars stock? I did mine 5 months ago and have around 500 miles on them. I saw a couple different people have this same problem around 10 ~ 13K miles. I am at 11k now. So it "Could" be the sensor. Also stated above, that the TBW is the culprit. I have the CVO longer cables type, sitting on the shop table in case that thats the problem. I dont want to have to tear apart and change it out - only to be something else.
My issue after new bars was the ignition, either I didn't put it in correctly or it was just wore out. either way it was replaced and all is good. Same BS, bike would die, turn things on and off, it would fire up, hammer down the road, hit some bumps and bike would die. A little jiggling or switching the ignition on and off, bike would fire up and go. Figured things out and all is good

I'm at a bit over 50K now and have the stock bars. I was going to just swap out the ET sensor but I have an ESP and I'm getting the other codes too so I'll let the "professionals" figure it out. I don't know enough about it and I wonder if somehow it's the connector behind the throttle body. I haven't pulled everything apart but what does the ET sensor plug in to? I probably should buy the electrical manual.
