I think your seeing the way the caliper bracket is machined. Look at the thickness of the bracket in the front and at the axle.

BINGO!

I was able to get it together this morning - without issue.

And there is a small notch/stop on the bracket for the sensor to butt up against so it doesn't spin. Photo from underneath.

Hey P51, I have a couple of Q's for ya.

That notch, does it fit into a groove on the caliper or just butted up against it?

Also, the side that faces out on the ABS bearing; is it the plastic-y side with "Eff Ay Gee" (LOL) on it or the metallic side? I think the manual says the green side, but, eff me if I'm not colorblind! I tried to match it best I could, the way it came off, by memory. I didn't take a pic because that side was fine. I only replaced it because I had already bought new bearings and that ABS one isn't cheap.

I recently tracked down a small wobble to the blown out left-rear bearings. I replaced them both with new HD ones. Now I'm getting the flashing ABS too. After the fist commute to/from work, I loosened the axle, rotated the WSS (counter-clockwise) to rest against the caliper, just as my front does, and it's still flashing.

Anyways, old pot, I know. Hit me back whenever you get a chance.

"the plastic-y side with "Eff Ay Gee" " faces IN

"the metallic side" faces OUT against the sensor/spacer

Welp, looks like I won't have abs for a while. Getting that out, without damaging it, is impossible..
