Its not the head passeges that need enlarging. Its the rocker arm supports. I wouldn't spend that kind of money on S&S heads to slow down pcv issues. Maybe your umbrella valves need replacing.
Thank you. I'm not thinking of new heads simply to clean up the splooge. Rather, I've been latching onto all excuses to justify spending all that loot on heads. In fact, my stump-pulling motor runs like a dream and definitely is fast enough to get me in trouble so I do not need heads -- but I want 'em. Meanwhile, I've a very slow lower rocker box gasket leak on the rear that I've been putting off until I make a decision on heads. Probably I should forget about the external breather until after I address the heads.
I found that without the vacuum pressure in the intake they put out little to no oil.

Heavy Breathers are the worst culprits because of the Venturi effect in the tube. I went from oil pooling in my heavy breather to externally venting and seeing nothing more than a damp hose.
Also I've never been a fan of high pressure springs in a system and engine that is designed for volume not pressure. But that's another story...
Run a line in between the heads, down between the cases where the shifter shaft is and terminate it about 1 1/2 to 2" above ground level and it will not blow back onto anything. Best thing I could have done and it was cheap to do and almost invisible.....
That's the ticket. Everyone uses a "T" this is incorrect and creates apposing force on the opposite line. A "T" is for vacuum this is very low pressure and the "Y" creates a scavenging effect. I used 3/8" fuel line and a Y fitting. I even used zip ties to hold everything together.

The breather system isn't there to get rid of oil splooge from the engine. It's there to relieve pressure in the crank case from the down stroke of the piston pressurizing the crank case and from piston ring blow by. If your rings are properly broke in and in good condition you will have little to no blow by. The oil that comes out the breather is in vapor form that is contained in the gasses that escape from the crankcase through the breather.
I have the se back plate . Just got regular automotive hose and plastic 90 degree and one 3 way connector. Similar to the dk kit for se. ended up costing a little less then there kit but diy and had extra parts left over. Ran hose to the ground upfront. Almost totally out of site and heat has not damaged hoses or caused it to pop off the se plate vent bolt.
fashioned a piece of tube to plug the space were the se hose had gone into the filter(hard to see),one end fanned out and poked a hole to go thru the vent bolt as extra precaution it wont get loose.The joints were universal so made sure i trimmed them down to really make it breath,and still fit good and snug on the hose.
With cover on you can hardly see anything and there is no rubbing (pic 2) by leaveing just enough slack.
