I have a street glide and am planning a multi day trip. One of my concerns are rain. I don't mind riding in the rain. I wear a half helmet with untinted safety glasses. When it rains water accumulates on my glasses which makes it hard to see. I need some ideas other than wearing a full face helmet. I also don't want a taller windshield. The shield that I have right now directs the wind just over the top of my helmet which is perfect.
Kwik fix for your situation...when the water starts to collect on your glasses, sit up tall so the wind hits you in the face for just a second or two. The wind will blow the water off till you need to do it again.
Careful with rainX as it can damage most plastics.
I wax mine with carnuba wax and the water just falls right off. I also wax my shield. If I need to get a good cleaning, just stick your head up in to the wind and they will be clean in no time.
I ride in the rain often with glasses on and a half helmet. I actually wear the HD half helmet with the drop down face shield. Works wonders! And other brands have the retractable screens as well.
