So that being said you can use the 09 pipe and weld in 12 mm bungs in the same location as your stock pipe and plug off the 18 mm bungs. Should work.
18mm is the standard size in auto industry hence why Harley probably changed it to 12mm LOL. If you got a Power Vision or Thundermax using wide band sensors you'll be glad you got 18mm holes.

That's the direction I'm going, just didn't know if I could run the 09 pipes with the close to the jugs 18 mm with adapters using stock ECM and sensors for the short interim until the cam job and TMax install.

Thank you everyone for the responses. I'll be checking on the Super Flow Mufflers/B&E Performance products.

After posting last night it dawned on me that the plugs I saw on the 2009 unit was probably a different size O2 sensor plug. Relocating the new sensors/adapting to the larger plug or welding in new plugs is beyond my ability. If I had those skills I'd probably cut out my cat myself. Seems like that would be simpler but I'm an IT Desk Jockey not a welder so what do I know?

You know computers and thats Ok. What you can do tho is take it to a welding shop and have them weld it up for you. Its not that much cost.

More money but there's a Fuel Moto stainless Headpipe in Touring classifieds for sell . It's great performance header keeping stock pipe look and has both 18mm &12mm holes. You reuse your stock chrome header covers with it.

What tuner do you use? The reason that I am asking is that DynoJet has a new product coming out, hopefully in the next few months, called "Target Tune" Target Tune is their new Auto Tune Pro, for the PV2, and uses wide band O2 sensors.

I am not sure your out of luck yet on the 09 catless header. Some manufacture sells
adapter wires (longer) that will let you use 02 sensors at the cylinder head. Now you can
get 18 mm. wide band 02 sensors form a few places like www.nightrider.com and a few
others out there. Get yourself a good tuner and you ready to roll.

P.S. Then there is always E-Bay for catless headers.

I ordered the cat less header from B & E performance this afternoon.

Based on other comments in the forum I am considering buying new mounting pieces - gaskets, flange, etc. I'll look at my originals when they come off and make a decision.

As for the comments about tuners: I spoke with Fuel Moto and will probably order the PV2 and A/C bundle next month.

The bundle from FM is a good deal. You will really like the PV2, good choice.
