I have a '07 Ultra Classic with 107" kit, Fueling Reaper 574 cams, SE adjustable pushrods, PC5, Stage 1 AC, and Rinehart True Dual exhaust system.
I'm only 5' 6" tall and when I have to stop at a stop light when it's hot outside, my left leg is practically touching the left pipe off the rear cylinder as it comes around from underneath the seat. I can flat foot my feet on the ground with my 1" shortened rear shocks.
I do have the plastic heat shields installed that mount on the sides of the frame under the seat.
Is there something I can do to reduce the amount of heat?
Ceramic coating, header wrap only on the area that touches my leg, or a different set of header pipes to run with my Rinehart mufflers?

RJS Originals. These are the bomb. Look great and work as advertised. Been to his house a couple of times. Great guy. He will talk you through the install if you get stuck. Simple to install if you follow the directions.
I put the rush ceramic coated headers on my 08 king with the rinehart mufflers and the heat reduction is drastic. I couldn't emphasize this more. +1 on the fans too. I don't have them, but my buddy does and loves em.
Well you picked those pipes with the left exhaust against your leg. What did ya think would happen?
It's pretty hard to know if a pipe will hit your inner thigh when you sit still at a stop light, without buying the pipes first and installing them....DUH! Your statement is rather stupid.
