I am working at installing a set of Reinhart TD. I am trying to remove the right side floorboard. I was able to remove the front 3/8 hex bolt, but the rear one is giving me trouble. There is no space to put a wrench. I have even used the 3/8 ball end hex like the service manual recommends and no luck. That sucker is really stuck. Just like me right now. Any quick advise?
Try just swivelling the entire unit DOWN now that you have that first bolt out... I just did that a couple weeks ago checking my Cam Chains so I had to get the foot board out of the way. I just pushed the unit DOWN and bingo all you need is that first bolt out...
You could try rotating it down as suggested and that may loosen it enough to unscrew it. Didn't you get a 3/8 allen wrench in your tool kit? It's what I use. If I am not mistaken with the Rinehart TD's you also get spacers that move the footboard out to clear the pipes, so it has to come off anyway.
