Thanks Wideglide. Does your motion pro cable match the brake line? I used sterling chromite cable and lines and want the two to match obviously. I'm going to call Magnum on Mon. This cable is only 2 months old.

I switched to stainless when I bought the motion pro. The magnum I had was not stainless.
As far as the magnum cable, probably just got a bad one. Hopefully they will take care of you. I didn't even try, so can't comment on customer service.
Thanks Wideglide. I'm going to call them on Monday. Now that you mention it, it didn't fall through the sheathing before I installed it.
Sounds like your going to possibly change it. Pull the cable - (catch the fluid in a clean pan) - and inspect the cable to see if it has debris or any visible problem. Lube the crap out of it while it's off. Can't hurt and if it frees up put it back on and ride - If Not, it's already off.
I decided to try and lube it, and it worked! I took it off at the bar end and sprayed cable lube in it, put it back on and it's like a different cable. So much for not needing to lube the Magnum cables.
Has anyone else had an increase in clutch lever effort after installing apes? I have 12' Yaffe's and a magnum shielding cable. I noticed more effort required after the install, and the cable is routed the same way it was stock.
I expected a little more effort but mine is a lot. We had a long ride in a severe rain storm and the next day it was even stiffer.
I did the exact same set up (braided Magnum) and yes it was much stiffer until I lubed it even though it was new. I have a heavier clutch spring so it was magnified even more.
Lube the cable well and re-route it outside the frame with only a big looping curve, just to check. If it's easy like that you need to route it where it is not in a bind. If it's not easier I'd say you got screwed on a cable.
What he said.......Did that with my 12" Twin Peeks and between the better cable and routing, it's easier and smoother then stock...
