I had the Harley Batwing Mini Apes installed at my dealer and got the bike home today. They ordered everything I needed and I replaced the cables at that time with braided lines.
My question is with mini apes is it normal for the clutch to be really hard to pull in, or should the cable be rerouted? It is routed through the fairing and behind the crash bar, is this the normal route? If rerouted will the clutch cable be too long?
Should not be any different than the originals. I'm guessing a reall tight bend in the fairing or a bad install at one end or the other. If the dealer did the install, I'd take it back.
So it should be the same lever effort as stock. Mine is definatley harder to pull. Can anyone who has rerouted their clutch cable tell me how they ran it, maybe that would help?
Just looked @ my 09 FLHX clutch cable and it routes the same...into bw, behind crashbar, crosses down frame and under bike to tranny on Right side. I say it's time to get w/installer for some adjustment(s).

Which side of the steering head does it come out on? I will give them a call on Monday when they open, thanks.
Should nit be that hard to pull. Should go unto the batwing and cone out the left side if the neck. Than make sure the cable us in the backside of the crashbar and across the frame. From experience if the cable us in the front side of the crashvar than the cable will always pinch in the neck
