The owners manual says change the engine oil and filter every 5,000 miles, change the primary fluid every 10,000 miles and change the transmission fluid every 20,000 miles.
I do the engine every 5,000 and both the primary and transmission fluids every 10,000 miles.
As posted earlier is the norm but I personally do oil at 5k with synthetics or semi and just do primary same time. Tranny I'm fine with 20k since I use redline. Everyone does what feels good for them and some more often.
Personally, I would recommend changing everything at the same time, everytime. I do and have not had any bearing or compensator trouble by doing this (so far.) Its only an extra 2 1/2 qts and will not hurt anything at all, only help.
Thank you everyone, found the info in the HD web site, (thank you IzzoQuazzo) it says to change all of the fluids every time at 5K miles......damn i thought I could change the primary and tranny every other one.....it's expensive every time, buy hey it needs to be done.

Where did you read that? No HD manual I have ever seen says change all of them at 5000.

I had to go check the Harley site to verify, but like I said earlier BUY A SERVICE MANUAL. The Harley site shows: engine oil every 5k miles, primary fluid every 10k miles, and transmission fluid every 20k miles. That is after the initial 1k service, which they show changing all. What site did you go to?
