Thinking of adding slimline duals to my bike I already have the 4'' Rinehart mufflers.
My question is to those of you with this setup.Does this system tend to drown out
the radio?I know they sound great, but I don't want this upgrade to cause me to
have to add an amp to hear the music.
Any new exhaust is gonna drown out the stock stereo a bit. You can vastly improve your sound with a rockford fosgate or biketronic amp/speaker kit (rf kit is like $200, biketronics ranges from $400-900)

I have Hogtunes front & rear that are a vast improvement over stock.
The sound is fine with the 4'' mufflers. As long as adding the duals
doesn't make it a whole lot louder then it will be ok.The main thing I'm
trying to do is increase power & lower heat.I'm also adding a Fuelpak
& changing out the air cleaner.
I installed Rinehart Slimline Duals, and yes it will make your mufflers louder. I don't use
the radio that much in town, but on the road I like to plug in my IPod for music. Anything
over 75 MPH the music Is hard to hear, with no upgrades to my infotainment system yet.
