I have a 2009 Ultra Classic and would like more back lights. I purchased a conversion pigtail from a guy that had it on a 2011 Ultra Classic. It is not working very well and really doing strange things. When I push a blinker switch, that side blinks bright but the other side blinks very dim and both dash arrows blink as they do when my emergency flashers are used. The running lights and brake lights do not show up on the turn signals as they should. Since I am running without my tour pack, does anyone think that may be the problem since that light connector is disconnected? Any suggestions since it works well on his Ultra Classic with his tour pack on.
I would start with checking the ground in the pigtail u bought. If u can take it off and re test to see if it is in the bike or the pigtail would b something else I would check early
Also if you used dilectric grease that stuff can do some really goofy ****. I had trouble with my rear led lights staying lit up for brake but after some tests and cleanin that junk out its been fine.
I did put on some dilectric grease before installation so I will clean it up and try again. There are no part numbers on this pigtail but the guy I got it from said he had it on an 2011 Ultra and it worked fine. I have a 2009 Ultra and it does not work .
