I had a chance to ride a 2015 cvo rg ultra over the weekend at a demo day at my local dealer. There were a few things about the bike that I was surprised with and one of them was that I couldn't hear any breather noise from the ventilator that was on the 110. In fact it was so quite all I could hear was the rattle of the valve train (which is not a complement). I'm currently running the 57h cams in my bike with a rsd Venturi 7 air cleaner. The cams made the breather noise louder but it was loud even before the cams. So are ventilator air cleaners quite compared to an air cleaner like mine?
I have a ventilator on my SG and have to say it's quiet but then again the D&D drowns out every engine noise.
My wg with a 3 inch velocity stack in the A/C is another story, strong swirling suction going on there, kinda cool sounding ( then over 3500 rpm the rb pipe becomes obnoxious).
Exactly why I have 2 of them. Quiet and leg room. Made 2 small slits in the rain sock and have it under the cover. Looks good and I don't have to worry about it.
The amount of noise mine makes can only be overcome by the exhaust at wide open throttle in the high rpm range. With that said I'm running rush premium duals with Cfrs so I would have to say that my exhaust is as loud as just about anything out there. The noise of my a/c is excessive and gets annoying to be honest.
Between my pipes, stereo, and wind whipping between my ears and helmet straps, I don't even know what "breather noise" is! ****, I can barely hear the "industrial sewing machine"... and I even use full synthetic haha!
