Default For those with new wheels

Do you get both a front and rear wheel. Looks like the rear stays the same size but front usually is a bigger wheel?

2011 Limited Ultra. If you're asking about the diameters, I think the stock rear is 17, and stock front is 18. I did a 19 on the front, and left the stock on the back, and there's no difference in the ride. If you're asking about new wheels & if you should do both front & back, I did a new chrome 19" Enforcer on the front only. A lot of guys think you should do the back also because you can really tell that you have 2 different wheels on the bike, but I have 5" stretched bags, and you can't really even see the rear wheel. Without stretched bags covering it, yeah, you can tell. Look at Ray Lloyd's pic below, without stretched bags.

Thumbs up

I got both because I removed the factory exhaust and went with the Vance & Hines Big Radius 2-Into-2 pipes. I also don't have extended bags and don't plan on getting them, so for me, both front and rear were the way to go.

My front wheel is 19", the rear 18". No noticeable change in the ride or handling.

Matching rims front & back on mine. 21-17 w/200 rear tire. Some say you won't notice the rear rim with bags......but you WILL.

I got both. You'll always know the back doesn't match and you just spent gazillions of dollars on a bike that is just off a little. For a few hundred more, it could be perfect...

I went with a new 21" up front, didn't do the back as I plan to toss 4.5" extended bags and new rear fender on and you will NOT see the rear wheel - the cost of a new rear wheel $1,200 plus $450 pulley and $375 rotor ($2,000) will pay for the bags, fender & paint...not a hard decision to make in my book

There are as many opinions on this as there are designs of custom wheels to choose from. Some guys only want the front and convince themselves that you cannot see the back wheel where others have to have both as they know whats behind that bag.

If you have wheel questions we can certainly answer them all and help you choose a design sizing that suits you and your riding style. You can also PM us here on the forums.

Both, because I can see the rear wheel, even with extended bags. Kept the stock pulley, but painted it black to match.

Both. Its a attention to detail thing for me and like others said you can see the rear wheel even with extended bags. My opinion a stock rear throws the whole look of the bike off.
