After riding in the rain for about 6 hours my switches acted weird once on a trip, came back to normal once it dried.

Put some good electrical grease in your connections/plugs. Keeps water out plus helps with corrosion.

+1 on water being the enemy. Problem for this OP is that the water might be affecting another electrical connection that isn't even being discussed right now. I'd have it checked out if the issue persists.

, yeah pretty much. i've been through some pretty hard storms. if you're gonna ride any amount, you're gonna get caught in one eventually. you can either wait under a bridge someplace or embrace it, put on your wet weather gear and get going again. I've been pretty lucky in that i haven't had any problems...knock wood....i try and make sure the fairing is seated best it can be and that the seal on the windshield is positioned and tightened up. other than that not more you can do. i like the grease idea. might add a little extra protection at the connectors.

Dielectric grease is your friend.

When I'm working on mine, any connectors I see gets some.
