For $1200 you'd think they could do a better job at quality control.....2 systems in this post with problems on the same part (overtight and cracked in one and loose in another) AND they both bleed down overnight. not acceptable in my book. I'm sure the ride is first rate and the system LOOKS great but for that kind of coin IMO there shouldn't be issues.

I have the Legend System on my Road King and while not unhappy with it I am considering using the Platinum System for my Ultra. However, bleeding out overnight is not accepable in my book either.I have had the Legend System on two bikes for 2 1/2 and 3 years respectively and have never had a problem with either one. Absolutely no air leakage.
I may have to reconsider using the Platinum System.
I remember a few years back, people where constantly complaining about the Legend systems leaking(I know that was part of the reason Legend stopped including the air pressure guage in the kits)so Legend systems have had their problems also.
Hey, John, sorry to hear about the eye. Hope that gets better soon! As for the shocks, thanks for the report. I know you haven't been able to really ride your bike, but just wondered how long it took to get the "right" air pressure on both sides before it started riding "good"? Was it alot of dicking around, or, tried this and it worked type of thing? Get that eye better, I know it's killing you to not be riding!

I must be one of the lucky ones or they have improved them because neither of mine have ever leaked and both have the air pressure gauges.
Didnt know Bryans was leaking down or I would have done something about it......everyone so quick to jump these days....Bryan knows, if it aint right...I fix it.....period.
my leak aint no big thing....it's entirely possible i did something stupid....no complaints here on the PLATINUM AIR System...i would recommend it highly

Hi Jerry,
It was no screwing around at all to get a decent ride, after I got the system working it rode super right from the start.
I screwed around quite a bit with air pressure settings, but the system seems to have a really large "sweet spot" & rides very well at almost any air pressure setting except all the way down or all the way up.
As far as the slight air leak, that's not something I'm losing any sleep over. Even if the system is totally empty, it only takes a couple seconds to pump it to whatever pressure I want. When I get a few minutes of spare time, I will test all the connections with a soap solution & see where it's losing air.
Even though my eye is still all messed up, I plan to ride to work tomorrow & give the system a more extended test. I live 23 miles from work & I can take back roads with very little traffic on them so I think I'll be OK for that.
