I purchased the dreaded Draggin Baggers system a while back. I experienced the leaking shock, tire rubbing on the wiring harness as well as the jaw breaking ride when slammed over rough terrain.
I did geteverything lined up but with meputting 13k - 15kmiles on a bikea year, I just did not have that warm and fuzzy feeling about that system. (You get what you pay for!) So, I decided to punt.
I rode a friend of mine with the legends and did research on the platinum. I then read more onhearabout the Platinum. Bryann and Shooter sold me on the system. I've had it now for2+ months and have put close to a thousand miles on it. I will 1st say that the quality is A+. Not even in the same ball park as DB and from what I have seen, betterthan legends (IMO). I kicked myself in the *** when I removed the DB system. Oh well... such as life.
Anyway, the ride is night and day.Taking the curves no longer feel like I'm on a pogo stick. I don't worry about ridingon my fender. I'm still trying tomaster the rebound function but over all... it was worth every penny.
Under the side panel works great(that's where I put it), but won't work on an Ultra with cruise control. In that case, under the battery is probably the best option(it's just a little more work to install it there)
