Default RK Classic rear fender tip

Bought a 2013 Road King Classic rear fender tip for my 2014 Road King. Part # is 59342-09. What I need is some help on mounting. I received part today and I know it's a replacement part but there is no hardware or instructions. I looked on Ronnie's microfiche and hard to make out any related hardware. Any one that owns a 09 or newer Road King Classic help me out? Photos would be great too. Thanks for any help.

You should have a plastic HD emblem on the fender, remove it and the tail light will bolt in it's place then the connector will run up to your tail light wiring and there should be an adapting connector in there for your light. I have an 09 RKC and that is how I did mine...easy peasy...

Thanks for replying Shredder but trying to install a 2013 Road King Classic rear fender tip on a 2014 Road King. No light or wiring involved. From what I'm seeing going to have to drill rear fender. I'll figure it out. Just didn't know holes in fender were involved. 2014 Road King doesn't have them in fender. Guess that's customizing your bike.

What color is your fender? If it's black I'll trade you.

You're an impatient little cuss ain't ya?

The fender tip is held on by one screw (Part number 3612) . If you have no hole for said screw, you better get the drill out.

Part reference #2 "screw"

You could try 3m double sided tape. The heavy duty stuff for automotive door mouldings.

Yeah I'm the impatient type when I have a new part and want to see it on bike. I've already ordered the screws and from what I'm seeing it takes two. But only comes in packs of six so if anyone needs the leftovers let me know. Also had the double sided tape idea but not much to stick it to on the tip itself. Need a procedure on how to mark the placement for the holes to be drilled. I can see how this could be real easy to get off. Thanks for the replies fellas.

I seriously doubt that someone has come up with a template to mix parts like that. Time to get creative and make your own template and be the leader of the pack! LOL!! Trace your tip onto a piece of cardboard (cardboard will flex with the contour of the tip), set your holes on the cardboard too, trim to exact size of your tip. Tape it to the bike exactly where you want it, mark your holes with a punch and start with a small drill bit. Use a bigger bit each time while double checking to see that your holes are still lining up with your template. Once you've hit the exact size you need, bolt that thing on. If the holes are misaligned, then drill bigger and bigger until they are aligned. That will give you some adjustment too. Remember, measure, measure, and measure again before you start with that drill! Good luck!!

Thanks Race. Was thinking of making some kind of template or a transfer with tape. I have time on my hands now as I wait for the mounting screws to come in. So much for my impatience huh?

LOL!! I'm the same way man! I just had to do this putting the Malibu SS emblems on the side of my '65 Chevelle that the previous owner had removed. I made cardboard templates and then taped them to the car, winging it on location from the 60 different pictures I downloaded and enlarged and measured. I was freaking out with the drill in my hand!! I had 3 other neighbors come over and check location and comparing the one side to the other. We all agreed it was good, I started drilling and it came out dead nuts on. Sometimes others "eagle eyeing" it helps too, just to make sure. You can't "un-drill" it. Good luck!!
