odd noise
Me and my wife went on a short trip yesterday evening appx 65 miles each way and we pulled up to a gas station at appx 45 miles into the trip to meet another couple and as we were exiting the Interstate and slowing down, we both heard a whining noise comming from either the primary or transmission area. We only heard it as we were slowing down onto the exit ramp. It was noticeable enough that we both heard it. We then drove a few hundred yards and pulled into the gas station and met our friends and asked them if they could hear anything and they said no and we didnt hear anything else the rest of the trip down or on the ride back home. Ive had the bike for a couple of weeks now and havent heard that noise before.I'm just not sure if it was a whine from the front brakes, primary, or transmission. It didnt last long enough to pinpoint the exact locoation of the sound. My bike is an 07, Ultra Classic with the H-D 103" stage II kit with the H-D download and the 4" S/E street performance touring exhaust with the baffles removed. I was just gonna throw out the question just in case some others on here might have had the same noise on their bike.

Who knows exactly what it was, but I'll be listening alot closer now.When we stopped I asked my wife if she had heard that whining noise when we exited and she said it might have been "crying" instead of whining,.... with the weight we had on the bike,...appx 400lbs,...LOL
