Default I Need Help From The Wiser

Ok here is the deal, my Indy gave me a box of Screamin Eagle
10mm plug wires and told my i could pay him later, now here
is the catch, I have to put them on my self. I am learning how
to use my damaged fingers, cause fathers day weekend I took
my cobra exhaust off and put my stock exhaust back on, and
last weekend I took my stock exhaust off and put my cobra pipes
exhaust back on with quiet cobra baffles. Ok with that being said,
It looks the gas tank has to come off of the bike, or be lifted up.
If it just has to be lifted up, do you have to lift the front, or back,
or both, in order to swap out the plug wires, and is this going to
be a quick fix?

You don't mention year or model, but it's pretty easy to remove the tank. Unbolt the dash, wrap it in a towel and just lay it backwards over the battery. The fuel line disconnects by pulling up on the collar and down on the fuel line. If you have the crossover line in front of the tank one side needs to be disconnected, then pull the three bolts holding the tank to the frame. That's all there is to it. Siphon all the fuel out of the tank before you start, particularly if you have the crossover hose. Once that hose is loose it will pour gas out. It's not a difficult job.

The method I described it for a Glide with a fairing mounted speedo and tach. Sorry, I can't see pics from my phone.

Ok thank you I'm on the way out to the garage now to start. It's cool that my Indy trust me so well, and or he is teaching me not to be afraid to try.

Just plain john nailed it.

However you could loosen the front bolts and lift the back where the seat is located. I have changed wire like that before

The 10mm SE wires may be larger than stock, so be prepared that plactic clips under the tank may be difficult

Just wish they had the coil in a more easily accessible location. Go for it 6 gun!!! As far as the SE wires I hope you aren't expecting too much.

Ok its done it wasn't too hard I removed the saddle bags, passenger back rest,
seat, dash, the vent hose that comes off of the top of the tank, the fuel line,
and the three bolts that holds the tank on. after that I raised the tank up and
slid a 2x4 up under it and preceded to change the wires out. I broke two of the
plastic clips and the long one that holds two wires I don't know where it
came from but its in spar parts bin in my tool box. I put it back together and it
runs so I'm kinda sorta proud of myself, for giving it a shot, but I also knew you
guys were close by in case I got in trouble.
